Dr. Syed Ahmed is a board-certified psychiatrist. He is board certified in general psychiatry as well as addiction psychiatry and has 30 years of experience in treating patients. He did his residency at university of Texas medical branch in Galveston. He was awarded best research paper by the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians. He has held several different positions including the Department Chair of Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. He was the clinical assistant professor at the Medical school in Houston. He serves on the CME committee of IMANA. He is currently at a private practice and is the Medical Director of the Adult Program at New Dimensions Day Treatment hospital.
